Pull from low revs
More torque where you actually drive — overtakes, slip roads and hills stop needing a downshift.
Mobile ECU remapping · Kent, South London & Surrey
We bring the workshop to your drive or workplace: a fully fitted van, Alientech KESS3 tools, battery support and a file written for your exact engine. Most Stage 1 remaps are done in a single visit.
Stage 1 & 2 remaps
Manufacturers calibrate one engine for every market at once — poor fuel, extreme heat, long service intervals and a dozen emissions regimes. The margin they leave is power and torque your engine already has but is not allowed to use.
A remap rewrites that calibration in the engine control unit: boost, fuelling, injection and ignition timing, and the torque limiters. On most turbocharged engines a Stage 1 remap unlocks a noticeable step in power and torque with no hardware changes — the car simply drives the way it should have from new.
Stage 2 is for cars that already carry supporting hardware — a better intercooler, a de-restricted intake or a performance exhaust. The file is built around that parts list, which is why we never flash an off-the-shelf map: your car is mapped as the car it really is.
The result

More torque where you actually drive — overtakes, slip roads and hills stop needing a downshift.
Lag and flat spots trimmed out, so the car answers when you ask instead of half a second later.
Caravans, trailers and loaded vans hold speed on gradients without the engine labouring.
Every change stays within what your engine, turbo and gearbox are built to take.
How it works
Book online or send the reg on WhatsApp. We confirm the ECU, the gains and a price before we travel.
Battery support goes on, the car is scanned for faults, and your original file is read and saved.
The new file is written, faults cleared, and we road-check it with you before we leave.

Stage 1 figures from the file catalogue we work from. Every car is different — we confirm the figures for your exact engine and software before we write anything.
Questions
Most Stage 1 remaps take one to two hours from arrival, including the health check and road test. Some ECUs have to be read on the bench, which takes longer — we tell you when you book.
A properly written file stays inside the mechanical limits of your engine, turbo and gearbox. That is the whole point of a file written for your engine variant rather than a generic map.
Driven the same way, most turbo diesels and turbo petrols return the same or better economy after Stage 1, because the extra torque means less throttle and fewer gear changes to hold speed.
Stage 1 works with the car exactly as it is. Stage 2 needs supporting hardware — usually an intercooler, intake or exhaust upgrade — and the file is written around those parts.
Yes. Your original file is saved before we write anything, so the car can be returned to factory calibration.
