How AdBlue systems fail
Selective catalytic reduction injects AdBlue into the exhaust to turn NOx into nitrogen and water. The system watches itself constantly — and when a heater, pump, injector, level sensor or NOx sensor fails, the car starts a countdown to a no-start condition.
The fault code rarely names the real culprit. A NOx sensor reading low can be a sensor, an injector, a crystallised line or poor-quality fluid. We test the system with live data so you replace one part, not three.
For off-road, motorsport and export vehicles we can supply AdBlue/SCR solutions in software. For road vehicles we fix the system — a disabled SCR on a UK road vehicle is illegal and fails the MOT.
The law, plainly: removing or disabling a DPF, EGR or AdBlue/SCR system on a vehicle used on UK public roads is illegal and is an MOT failure. We diagnose and repair the fault first. Removal solutions are supplied only for off-road, motorsport and export vehicles, and we will ask you to confirm that before any work is done.

Get it diagnosed now. The countdown will not stop by itself, and once it reaches zero the car will not restart.
Can bad AdBlue cause faults?
Yes. Contaminated or diluted fluid crystallises and triggers efficiency faults. We can check fluid quality on site.
Is AdBlue delete legal?
Not on a vehicle used on UK roads — it is illegal and an MOT failure. AdBlue solutions are supplied only for off-road, motorsport and export vehicles.
Do you replace NOx sensors?
We diagnose and can advise or arrange the correct part, then code and reset the system after fitting.
